We spent the last week at Eau Gallie Yacht Basin in Melbourne, FL. This little marina does not disappoint. The local boat owners there are some of the nicest people we have met. They have potluck dinners every Wednesday for any boaters that want to join. We joined and brought chicken quesadillas. They also have a cute firepit we sat around one evening. We will definitely be coming back to this marina on the way back north. (https://www.eaugallieyachtbasin.com/)
We had dinner one night at a restaurant called “Hemmingway’s Tavern”. A true Key West vibe not quite in Key West! (https://www.hemingwaystavern.com)
This past weekend we traveled to Fort Pierce marina (Fort Pierce, FL) and Safe harbor New Port Cove marina (Riviera Beach, FL).
Fort Pierce may be one of our favorite spots in FL. We were able to watch the Ravens game at a Tiki bar outside (the dream…lol!)
Riviera Beach is our last stop in FL before the Bahamas!!!!!! The goal is to cross the ocean to the Bahamas on Thursday of this week so wish us luck!!!
Also, here is a picture I have been trying to capture of the Blue Heron birds that walk us down the docks at night back to our boat after dinner. I have made friends with all of them 🙂 This one I named Leonard.
Also, so many Pelicans here. I think they look like little old wise men in the face.
Going to stock the boat for Grand Bahama,
Lisa
