We made it out of the Great Lakes this weekend!!!! We traveled all of the Great Lakes except for Lake Superior. What an accomplishment and such a good time! My favorite by far is Lake Michigan. I may have mentioned it before but looking back on all of the Lakes, the water in Lake Michigan is as clear as the Caribbean. I had no idea!

Bruce and I did another 19 locks by ourselves this week. Whew! We are a good team and have learned something new in every lock to make it easier. Check out some of these pics including the biggest lock we have done so far (Lock 17 on the Erie Canal… you win!). P.S. the folks that work at the locks are the nicest people and I love how all of the boats thank each lock attendant on the radio after they go through the lock… we did too 🙂

I would be remiss if I didn’t mentioned Pirates Cover Marina, http://piratescovemarina.com/. Paul and Patti that run this marina are just the sweetest folks you can meet. The marina has everything you need including a courtesy car you can use to go to the store. We love the restaurant’s food there and meeting all of the regular locals that come to the bar. So special.

Are you guys wondering why I have “Dishy McFlatface” in my blog title yet 🤣? Did you know that Elon Musk’s Starlink wifi has a nickname? There was a contest to see who could name it and this is the name that won. Dishy McFlatface has saved our lives a couple times for being connected for work and other wifi needs. Love this little guy…he is now our pet 🙂
