I can’t say this enough but we are so blessed to be on this journey π We were in Savannah last week and we had our very close friends Dave and Danielle visit us again! We had the boat right downtown Savannah in front of the Westin. We were on the other side of the river from the downtown area but we were also docked next to the ferry that went back and forth. It was very convenient to get over to the Riverwalk.
Clarity in front of the Westin:
Big ships kept going right by us!
We explored Savannah with D&D for the first two days. It rained on us the first day and night but we didn’t care. I was even able to get us a last minute reservation at the Old Pink House (which apparently is very hard to get into even within a couple weeks!). It is an old historic mansion that was turned into a restaurant and every room is different. It was beautiful and the food was amazing! https://www.theoldepinkhouserestaurant.com/
Here we are in the rain, sight seeing, bar hopping and having fun π
Dave found a place named after him! His college nickname.
Danielle found her mothership – a champagne bar
Sunday we went to Tybee Island. It reminded me of a smaller version of Ocean City, MD so of course I felt right at home π
Next stop was Myrtle Beach. This one is pretty special to me. I was able to get in touch with my cousin that I have not seeing in over 25 years (we think…lol!). Michelle took us around their beach town in a golf cart and we had the best time. We might barely remember each other when we were kids but we were definitely meant to meet again after all this time. Love you and see you in the fall!
Barbie house!
The next few days in Myrtle Beach were awesome with perfect weather. Easter Brunch at a beautiful country club, 9 holes on that golf course the next day, wonderful dinner at Ruth Chris right near the marina and great times downtown at the beach!
Beautiful Golf Course (Grand Dunes):
Super fun Putt Putt course we played the day before!
I have to travel for work a couple of days coming up but then the journey north continues!!!
Stuck in the wind and rain for a few days now but hopefully weather will turn this weekend.
Cannot complain,
Lisa
