Heading North!

The last couple of weeks we have been working towards heading back to MD. I had to travel one week for work and go to Dallas for a fun work trip but we have still made some progress towards our family and friends.

We are still in FL but made it as North to Titusville, FL on Sunday.

Before getting here we were in Eau Gallie Marina for 2 weeks while I traveled for work and also had some fun. If you read my blog on our way south you will remember this town and the cute marina that we loved in Eau Gallie. This town is near Melbourne, FL. We just love this marina and we got to see some friends we met when we stayed here on our way south in the fall. They have Potluck Wednesdays and last Wednesday was a great turn out!! Lots of yummy food and good company. One of our friends we met there, Karen, has a shop there and she made us all new seats for our tender. Pics below.

While we were in Eau Gallie we also had some visitors! The first week Chris and Beth who are traveling south on their beautiful sailboat, Jambalaya, met up with us and stayed at the same marina for a few days. So much fun going out to eat with them, playing cards on their boat and talking about plans back in MD. See you for the Blue Angels guys and have fun in the Bahamas!

AND my mom and Warren came to visit!!!!! They stayed on the boat for a couple of days and we showed them around Eau Gallie. They also showed us a couple of spots they had been before around here when they lived in FL. We loved hanging with them at Squid Lips (https://www.squidlipsgrill.com) and Pineapples (https://www.pineapplesegad.com). Thanks for introducing us to Lou’s Blues!! (https://www.lousbluesbarandgrill.com/). We had to work the rest of the week while they visited family in the Villages but we met up again with them at Universal Studios for one day on the weekend! I forgot how cool that place is!! Thanks for coming to visit us! Love you!

The captain has done a bunch of projects on the boat these past couple weeks!
The new tender seats from Karen:

Bruce sewed a new grey covering for the steering wheel of the tender as well. I don’t even remember how to sew.

For those that have been following the blog we got a new grill after ours went overboard last year after we caught a big wave:

Bruce also repaired and painted the cover over the sink up top where the old grill hit on its way overboard:

Me, I just make sure the boat is clean and the bar is stocked!

Here are a couple of great pics of our last day in the Orlando area:
Putt Putt with gators :

Fun beach bar pics!

Disney Springs:

Nasa and launch pad views from boat. We have seen a few good launches in the past few days!

Coming for ya Maryland,
Lisa
