This past week we made it from NYC all the way home to MD! What an amazing journey taking our new floating home from Sturgeon Bay, WI to Chesapeake Bay, MD. The past 3 months have been such an exciting time in our lives.

Getting to come home to DE and see family after months away was the best welcoming back 🙂 We docked at the Indian River Inlet Marina in Rehoboth, DE and were welcomed by my family not long after we got there. They are the best!

We spend 4 days in DE and got some pool time, our favorite cheesesteaks in Bethany Beach (#surfsup) and some quality family time. Love you guys!

Seeing this guy on the last night was a special surprise and can’t wait for him to come back and visit the boat in MD. Love you AJ!

We also got to see our close friends Mark and Rachel after months of not seeing them 🙂

Then we stopped in Chesapeake City marina and met with some of our great boating friends Holly and Ray. Such a fun impromptu time with them and a great dinner of yummy sushi! Holly is always so great about taking pictures of our boats. Here is one of their boat I took and a pic and video she got of Clarity running on the water!

 

This adventure has started off to be so fantastic and we have learned so much about running the boat and can’t wait to get it ready for the journey south in the fall. Thanks to the previous owners for keeping track of us and all of the amazing advice on the boat! Keep following us as we spend the summer boating with friends and doing projects on the boat. Then off to the south in October to follow the warm weather in the winter!
