We Live in the Bahamas!

Clarity crossed the ocean last Thursday and made it to the Bahamas! I wake up every morning and look out at the clear blue water and shout “we live in the Bahamas!” It is truly surreal and we feel VERY blessed.

Here is Bruce the day before crossing the ocean reviewing the weather

Some pictures and videos of us getting ready to leave, crossing the ocean, and arriving at the Bahamas. It was a beautiful day to make the cross. Even though we left at 5:30am and it was dark I felt good about the trip as soon as the sun started coming up and I could see how smooth the water was.

Upon arrival we were greeted at customs by our very best friends Dave and Danielle. They flew in that same day to the Bahamas to meet us and celebrate Danielle’s birthday!

First night we were at a marina on the West End that was actually closed for renovations so no one was there except for us and a National Geographic crew staying there. The staff at the Blue Marlin cove marina were so sweet. The hospitality was amazing! Since we were the only boat there, the boys actually went to talk to the chef and pick out our dinner for the evening. They made us fresh snapper and cracked Conch! My favorite meal so far here!

The next day we decided to move the boat to Freeport at the Flamingo Bay Marina. There is so much here to do! The boat ride over from the West End to Freeport I am calling the puke cruise…lol! No one actually got sick but Dave and I were both feeling pretty rough. It didn’t take us long though to get us back in shape to go explore Freeport and our resort. We ended up at the pool and met our bartender for the month named “Bucket.” Bucket is fun! He is a Buffalo Bills fan so we are routing for the same teams SO FAR. Here is a picture and video of Buckets bar!

The next day we did some shopping and bar hopping and met a bunch of locals to give us the scoop. Thanks D&D for helping us scope out our new home and all of the best places to go. ❤

This will be us for awhile:
