So, we have passed quit a few loopers through NY canals and Hudson River. Everyone we have met say we are going the wrong way. Turns out most everyone is heading north for the Great Lakes and we are heading south. I think Maryland is the right way and they are going the wrong way!
We have been looking forward to driving through NYC for months. And the Big Apple did not let us down. Somehow, the big city looks and feels smaller from the water, even though the buildings are towering over us. Even Clarity at her amazing speed of around 8.5MPH traversed the entire length of Manhattan in about an hour. Here are a few pics from from the Hudson River and New York harbor with that beautiful green lady. Seeing the Statue of Liberty from our boat has been a dream of ours. So cool!!
This picture is on the New Jersey side of the Hudson. Did not know it was there and have never seen it before. This statue is called Waters Sole, by the artist, Jaume Plansa. Very unique!
As of this post we are 160 miles from our home port (for the summer) Maryland baby!
