Put-In-Bay

They call it The Key West of the North.  And it is!  We stayed 3 days there last week.  I highly recommend Put-In-Bay in Ohio.  Super fun town with such nice people and history.  The Goat Soup and Whiskey restaurant has fabulous food and a wonderful Beer Garden out front.  We went early before our dinner reservation and sat with the bartender who has lived there most of his life and raised his son (who we also met).   We learned so much about the history of the area and the story of how the restaurant came to be.  The Goat is actually named after the owner’s dog and when he opened his first restaurant selling soup and whiskey the dog used to eat all of the scraps that fell on the floor so he named him Goat!  Check out the restaurant, https://soupandwhiskey.wixsite.com/goatsoupandwhiskey/put-in-bay-menu.  Yummy!

We had our first visitors while we were in OH as well!  An old work friend of Bruce’s brought his boat, lovely wife, and dog on their boat over to meet us in Put-In-Bay one day.  We also met some of their other long time boating friends. We had a blast following them around to all of their favorite spots in Put-In-Bay.

We also went to Cleveland for one night and met up with an old friend there! Thanks for meeting us out Emily!

We checked out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame there. So cool. Did you know that there are only 365 inductees so far? I thought it would be more but I liked that it is hard to be an inductee.

We also visited a town called Geneva on the Lake (GOTL) and were able to have our first meal up topside on the boat!
